"Special -Time" weekend!

November 20th-November 23rd
Daddy & Milly get special time together

While Mommy & Ry Ry get some bonding time in DENVER!

We were off to see Jaimie Lynn!
Our trip started off with a fun plane ride with Lily. (Her & Ashley were going to see her sister who lived there too!) We had a blast together! These 2 girls were in heaven with all their treats.


It was so fun to see & spend time relaxin with our cousins Creed, and new baby Tylee:

This was Rylee's SPECIAL weekend, where she could have whatever she wanted...
Well, we found ourselves in this candy store. This was Rylee's first time in a candy store, and boy oh boy was it ExCiTinG!

We were SO lucky, because right as we walked out of the shop, Santa pulled up in a fire truck and stopped Right in front of us! He stepped right off & patted Rylee's back! Wow, Rylee was thrilled to see the real Santa.
We waited in line to sit on Santa's lap, and when it was Rylee's turn, she hopped right up there and wrapped her arms right around his neck & whispered in his ear what she wanted for Christmas! It was adorable.

Saturday, Jaimie Lynn took us for a fun day in downtown Denver for some shopping & lunch on 16th street:


We were totally spoiled, because we got to go to a
DENVER BRONCOS football game
& sit in the Lowrey's box suite!!!
It was a once in a lifetime experience. I became a little emotional as I stepped into that stadium; it was an incredible sight to see. It was amazing, huge, and the colors were so bright & beautiful! Wow. Rylee thought it was just great. She said to me: "Mom, I sure am a lucky little girl this weekend!" We had good food, our faces painted, broncos jerseys, pom poms... the whole experience! It was really fun.


The Bronco's were losin pretty bad, so towards the end, Rylee Jo got to do her favorite thing- HOLD BABY TYLEE!


But most of all, after all the fun things we did, Rylee said her favorite thing she did was hold Tylee! She LOVED when Tylee fell asleep on her chest, she thought that was just the greatest thing. Rylee asked to hold that baby any chance she could, and never got sick of it. This weekend, she learned how to change a poopy diaper, dress a tiny, squirmy baby, and even give her a bath. It was so sweet to watch her be so careful, and love every minute of it.

TRIBUTE: Great Grandma Anderson

My dear, sweet Grandma Anderson passed away on November 21st, 2009. We miss her terribly already. My Grandmother lived a wonderful life & is one of the greatest examples!

It was so sad to see her brilliant mind deteriorate & her health decline.
Throughout the past 6 months I was able to spend a few last moments of quality time with her.

My Grandma was the one who inspired me to become a nurse, so I was honored to be able to spend a few nights with her caring for her as she was in and out of the hospital. Even though she was awefully sick at times, she still managed to remain ever so positive and humorous!

This is the last time I was able to visit with my Grandma before her passing. On this particular day, she seemed to be more awake & alert than she had been in weeks. I will treasure the time I was able to spend with her.


My Grandma & Grandpa had quite the love story... just like in the song "Where've You Been".
Married 60 years, always by eachothers side caring for one another, then for the last 2 months of her life as she was in and out of the hospital, so was my grandpa. At one point, my grandma was on one floor of the hospital with pneumonia, and my grandpa was on another floor, in for open heart surgery... SO heartbreaking! I will forever remember the way that all my grandma cared about, even through her sickness' was her dear sweetheart. My grandpa was finally well enough to be released from the hospital and spend a few days by my grandma's side again.
It was then that my grandma finally was able to let go, and go live with her Father in Heaven.

I was able to go with my mother & my Aunts to dress my grandma & do her hair and make up. She looked beautiful at her viewing. It was neat to have ALL our cousins together to pay respects to our sweet grandmother who we all loved so much.
My little Amelia had this fascination with looking at & touching great grandma Anderson. She kept asking to give her another hug... it was sweet, really. Her and Rylee seemed to understand that Grandma's body was here but her Spirit was with Jesus, where uncle Brett is.





My Grandpa is an incredible man. We love him to pieces and are grateful he is well.

Dear Grandma Anderson, Thank you!

Thank you for the memories.
Thank you for your ever-faithful prayers.
Thank you for your example of service, love & compassion.
Thank you for taking me to the Zoo when I was homesick as a little girl.
Thank you for letting me snuggle in-between you & grandpa at night while tending me when my mother was away.
Thank you for your birthday cards EVERY single year.
Thank you for the many sympathy and holiday cards filled with a dollar bill.
Thank you for the times at the Sundance Cabin- the candy suckers, the yellow backpacks on hikes, skit nights, etc.
Thank you for being there for the many performances, birthdays, wedding, showers, baby blessings, etc.
Thank you for teaching me of the power of prayer.
Thank you for your strong and faithful testimony.
Thank you for raising your Daughter to be such a wonderful mother.
Thank you for serving a mission, and for “not forgetting me”.
Thank you for blessing your posterity with all your genealogy work.
Thank you for standing up for what you believe in, being involved, & for fighting on the Lords side.
Thank you for praying for me as I chose which college to go to.
Thank you for inspiring me to be a nurse.
Thank you for being there at my pinning ceremony.
Thank you for sharing your memories from your days in nursing school.
Thank you for sending me your AJN (nursing journal) magazines, teaching me continued learning.
Thank you for showing me how to love your eternal companion unconditionally.
Thank you for giving my girls such an amazing woman to look up to.
Thank you for the incredible legacy you have left us.
Thank you for the nights we spent together in the hospital.
Thank you for your positive attitude and witty personality until the end.
I love you Grandma, and will miss you dearly! I am blessed to have you as my Grandma. I will always remember your example, and will strive to keep your legacy alive as I teach my children of their wonderful Great Grandmother! I am grateful to know it is you who will be watching over our family for generations to come, as you always knew your ancestors were actively involved in your life!

First Dentist Visit!

Wahoo! That's right, our FIRST visit to the Dentist office.
These girls were SO excited to go. It was a pretty big event... after all, it was a little over due, and we had been practicing playing "dentist" for days before until the girls learned:
"see? it doesn't hurt!" ha ha:)
All the practice paid off... when we went, the dental assistants were shocked when they both wanted to be first to hop up into the X-Ray chair!


They did great! Not a tear from Rylee Jo, but Milly got a little nervous when the Dentist showed up- I guess he was not as cute as the assistants:) But she got over it quick,
& best of all- NO cavities! yeah.
Grandpa Sweeten would be proud!
