Our CRAZY Incubating Project....

We decided it would be fun to incubate some eggs for easter time! And let me tell you, this was such a great learning experience. It was a RIOT!

Here is how our big idea played out...

WENT TO THE FARM
PICKED OUR EGGS
(Yes, RIGHT out from under the chickens tail feathers...)
TAKING OUR SPECIAL EGGS HOME
PUTTING OUR EGGS IN THE INCUBATOR
Then Wait, and Wait. (turning these babies twice a day, & looking at them under a "candled" light) WAIT 21 DAYS... until:
WE HEAR CHIRPING!!!!
Then the amazing hatching proccess:
PIP
ZIP
HATCH!!!
oh boy, i wish you could have HEARD us cheering him on and praying for him when "Mr. Stripey-Stripe" was trying to break out! He flopped around with the shell stuck on his head for a while, but it was QUITE the show!
DRYING in the INCUBATOR
BROODING OUR CHICKS
OUR HATCH:
little mother-hen gathering her chicks under her... princess dress?

Easter 2010

Happy Easter!!!
April 4th, 2010

Daddy's Easter girly's!

Visit from the Easter Bunny at Gymnastics:
Preschool Easter Fun:

We had a fun Easter party at Grandma & Grandpa Ralphs! All the cousins got so many wonderful treasures:)

These 2 little sweeties were hard at work dyeing all their eggs for the Easter Bunny!

Job Well Done, Girls!

Easter Morning: April, 2010
The girls found what the Easter Bunny had brought for them, and were so excited about their fun baskets:)
It was so great to have Easter fall on conference Sunday, and be able to listen to our Prophets on this special Day!

Silly Girls...

Amelia *BeDazZled* herself from *Head...

to *Toe*... Seriously? wow.

This little Rylee Jo just "cracks me up"!

Now, here we have... messy play room with a drawer full of doll clothes???

....one would think!...

Until you remember that Milly loves to nuzzle herself into small, camouflage spaces and hold perfectly still for long periods of time until someone stumbles upon her!!!

Silly Milly!

No fat lip (from Milly's head the middle of the night) can stop this little smarty from writing letters by Herself! Don't ask us what it spells, But whatever it is, that word was written WELL!

This girl has got some serious creativity & organization skills!
She is quite the city builder:)

Hawaii

My first trip to Hawaii!
April 21st- 25th

Steve had a business trip to Hawaii, and the day before the trip he booked me a flight so I could meet him there. When I arrived, there was a beach-side, sweedish massage waiting for me! ALO-HA!!!!

And when he travels, he travels well... lucky sucker:)
Here is the View From our Hotel Room!

I spend the days on the beach while Steve had meetings, then at night we went out to dinner to this super neat restaurant on the water.

This was HARD!!! It looked like a relaxing, even boring activity, and it was MUCH harder than it looked.

Crazy April Weather...

In a matter of days, we experienced every extreme of weather:

We went from Rain Boots & Umbrella's, splashing in puddles...

...to a few days later building a Snow Bunny, playing in the snow...

...then a few days later wearing Sun dresses, eating popcicles!

I mean, Really- does mother nature have any idea the kind of unorganized closets this is causing? We are having to keep all the snow gear, swimming gear, etc all out, because at this rate you never know what weather you're gonna get!

APRIL FOOLS!!!

CUPCAKES FOR DINNER?
Boy, oh BOY! Everyone was thrilled to see an entire display of "CUPCAKES" on the table for dinner! But were they ever surprised when they dove into their colorful "frosting"...
APRIL FOOLS!!!
Ha ha ha... these beautiful "cupcakes" & "frosting" were actually Meatloaf & Potato's! And cornbread muffins too!
Oh my goodness, if you could have seen their reactions:) Rylee was so excited to get a 'pink cupcake', until she licked the frosting... then she said, "actually, I think I'll have yellow?", but was not happy to find it was still not they yummy cupcake she was imagining!
