Happy Birthday

Amelia is "2-Tu" Cute!

This was Milly's fun ELMO TU-TU PARTY!!!
She really is just too too cute! Milly LOVED her birthday party from the minute we sent out the invites! She really enjoyed all the preparation, showing the guests her party, her gifts, the friends... she seemed to love it all!
She was so happy to tell everyone: "I 2 now!"

Mommy & her little Birthday Girl:

Party Favor Bags:
(an idea I got from Parents Mag, I layed out the bags & painted a little scenery across)

Snack Table:

(another idea from Parents... this Snack Scene was so cute)

Our Drink: "Dorothy's" Fish Tank
(with the "2" birthday candle as the theme for the day)

A few more fun little details...

Elmo Cupcakes!

Milly had a BLAST making & decorating her own Elmo Cupcakes the night before!!!

Here she is, just so happy that we were singing happy birthday to her!

Silly Little Girly's!

Pinata Time!
Milly (& Rylee) picked out & filled this pinata themselves, and I think Milly ran through the motions of "a-hit-hard, canny come out!" about 20 times before!

This was the only time she got sad all day & it was because she didn't understand that it would take MANY people/times to hit the pinata before the candy would come out!

Whack, Hit... YAHOO!

And lastly, PRESENTS!

Funniest part of the day...
So, Milly opened every present as if each was a special treasure. She took her time examining each one, laying it out looking at it, etc. After all were opened, she began to quietly gather all the gifts up in her arms...

THEN, she started heading up the stairs...
Steve followed her as she walked straight into her bedroom and began HIDING each present!!!
That's right, she found a hiding place for EVERY LAST ONE!

She came right back down stairs & when Grandpa asked where all her presents went, she said: "No body Fine-Em!" we all laughed so hard...
THEN, Rylee brought one last gift she had forgotten, a pink ball. Milly grabbed that ball, put it right behind her back hiding it from us, and turned her back to us & marched right back up the stairs to hide it! ha ha ha:)

Well, Happy Birthday little Amelia! We love you so much!
You add so much life, energy, laughter and enjoyment to our family. We are lucky to have such a fun-loving little sweetheart. I am glad you enjoyed your Elmo Tu-Tu party,
I love you sweety!

Dressing Up for Dance:

Since Rylee loves her Tap shoes so much, and LOVES watching Shirley Temple Tap dancing on U-Tube for hours on end, I couldn't help but let her be SHIRLEY TEMPLE for Halloween, especially at Dance class!!! With her beautiful big eyes, and curly hair? I couldn't resist.
AND, stand back for this one... YES, I actually sewed this dress, BY MYSELF (well, my sweet friend had to walk me through it step by step, cuz it's definately the only thing i've sewn since my last pillowcase in homeck back in 7th grade!!!) So, don't look too closely, but it did the job!
Rylee made it all worth it when she woke up in the middle of the night & just hugged it tightly & ! She knew exactly what it was, and did not want to take it off!
