Polar Express!!!

We made our own POLAR EXPRESS train ride on trax.

The kids received their special golden tickets earlier that week, and we watched the movie Polar Express to get prepared for the big night...

The Conductor Punched our tickets, just like in the movie!

We had a great time singing carols, reading the story, eating cookies and drinking hot chocolate with cream!

You better watch out...

Uh, Oh! You better Not POUT... I'm telling you why,
SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN!!!

What a surprise it was when Santa met us at the end and gave us bells to see if we BELIEVE!

***A MUST READ MOMENT: When Santa handed Rylee her Bell, she turned to me and said: "Mommy, what if I can't hear the Bell Ring?" So, like the little boy in the story, I told her that if she didn't hear the bell ring that meant she didn't believe! Well, I watched little Rylee's face get more concerned as she shook her bell... and looked at me and said: "But Mommy, I BELIEVE... But, I don't HEAR anything!" Oops, her bell did NOT have the little ball inside that makes it ring- ha ha ha. We quickly cleared things up, and she DID believe, FEWF:)

Amelia burst through the crowd and made her way right up to Santa to be SURE he knew she wanted a Mr. Potato Head!

We had SUCH a great time with all these fun families!

Oh the Christmas Parties...

Annual Anderson Family Christmas Party
& the darling Nativity!

Rylee Jo was the Angel & Amelia was the sheep.
Milly was REALLY good at her one line, over & over again: "Baaaaah!"

Of course the ELF never forgets us!
The kids thought it was the greatest thing in the world, when they saw Rudolph's nose up on the roof, then a huge bag was magically dropped on the porch. Milly retold the story about 50 times:)

We all received a special gift from Great Grandpa Anderson-
the famous wooden marble track, a wonderful childhood memory for all the Anderson cousins. Now we EACH have our own. Thanks, Grandpa!

The Ward Christmas Program!
Rylee was able to sing as an angel with the Primary Kids. She was SO excited! (she's the tiny angel up front with the trumpet!)

Grandpa Corey's Christmas

We all had a great evening, with presents, games, and a surprise visit from Santa and his 2 elves!!!

Lastly, we cannot forget Our first, annual:
uGlY Christmas-SWEATER PaRtY!!!

with some GREAT awards, and some BEAUTIFUL sweaters:

Let the Christmas Posts Begin!

Our Christmas Season Kickoff...
One of my favorite new traditions:
Day after Thanksgiving, decorating for Christmas in our new Christmas jammy's! (AFTER a little Black Friday shopping, of course!)
The girls were actually a great help!
Milly loved looking into this green ornament, saying "Look, our House is Green!"
Rylee Jo was so proud to be able to put the Star up!

& the Christmas Activities begin...

a definate yearly must-
Temple Square Lights:

A new one for us: Ice Skating at the Galivan Center with Grandpa Alan!

Milly enjoyed it, but not for too long. "ice-skates, too tight!" she said.
So Grandpa & her took a break & had some doughnuts!

Rylee loved Ice Skating! She was really good, and was able to skate on her own.
Her & Sophi had such a fun time skating together holding hands, with NO help!

Cookie Making:

Wheeler Farm with Grandma & Grandpa:

A Hay Ride:

& Cocoa by the Fire!

We found Santa Clause inside...

Rylee reminded Santa of her wish for him to bring her an Easy Bake Oven & a Barbie Jeep.
& Milly asked Santa for her Mr. Potato Head!

and Don't you worry, there is More fun to come!
Stay "posted"...

Milly Moment...

So, we had just filled our Advent Calendar FULL of chocolates for the month of December...
The next morning the girls and I were planning on making some hot chocolate in our new hot chocolate mugs! Well, I walked into the kitchen, and found THIS:
I asked Milly what in the world she was doing???
She simply looked up at me & said:

"Mommy, I makin' Hot Chocolate!"

ha ha ha! Well, I had to admit... she was VERY creative!
She had a literal understanding! (Amelia Bedelia?)
