Memorial Day 2010

Memorial Day

AMAZING... this little 2 year old can flip and spin with the best of them!

Many of this little flippers' skills include:
Spin the Cat, awesome possum & straddle legs on the bar, Bum-Stand Up on the tramp, Balance beam BY HERSELF, and front flips off ANY height!

Daddy is OH so proud!

NEXT UP, we have RyLee JO SMIFFERS!
Lets see what she can do...

She can bounce, she can balance and she can flip!

Rylee's Dance Recital

FIRST DANCE RECITAL!!!

Rylee Jo is a natural dancer. Her dance teachers call her their "little Jazz Dancer", because anytime the music is turned on Rylee is jammin out to the beat! The weeks leading up to her first recital we talked about what it was going to be like- the big stage, lots of people, bright lights, etc- and went to a few other recitals so she'd have a better idea of what she was in for. And on her big day she marched right up on that stage with confidence and did such a great job. She was not one bit shy, scared or nervous performing in front of such a huge audience. She tap danced to the old song "Good Morning", and it was the most darling thing i'd ever seen, it just made me cry:)

Way to go, Rylee Jo!

Milly anxiously waited to watch her sister tap dance.
As Rylee walked out on the stage, Milly yelled out:
"dat's my Sista!"

After their big debut~

Sister brought a special present for Ry Ry...

Rylee's sweet friend Hannah came and brought a little gift too:

Rylee had both of her grandma's come to support her, as well as her aunt Kimmy & uncle Ben

Silly Milly K update...

May-June 2010
Our little Mill-House is such a doll!

She LOVES driving the Barbie Jeep, and LOVES riding her bike any chance she gets!

The neighbors donated this big girl bike to Milly that was JUST HER SIZE! She is just SO thrilled to have a bike of her own:

Milly LOVES to dress HERSELF...
about 5 times a DAY!!!
She is actually quite good at matching, but sometimes the outfits get REAL creative:-)

And she is also extremely skilled at detailed work...
here she has lined up all grandma's cars and trucks, and organized them by color!

Rylee Jo's Latest...

May-June 2010
Our sweet little Rylee Jo is 4 years old
She is learning that being able to do great things is HARD WORK, and takes LOTS of PRACTICE...

This month she learned how to RIDE A BIKE without training wheels!!!
She says "I can ride training wheels!", and her friend Brodyn taught her!

Rylee Jo & her big girl bike:

She can even ride in her pettiskirt!

She had only a few painful falls...

She has also been learning how to play the VIOLIN!

We have learned that we don't quit just because something is not easy and fun any more!

She now knows that It may not be easy, but it's worth it.

LOVE NOTES:
Rylee has also enjoyed passing love letters back and forth between her "boyfriend" Brodyn next door.
We usually get a knock on the door first thing in the morning, and sure enough, it's cute little Brodyn in his jammy's here to say hello!

Rylee could eat popcicles ALL DAY LONG!

This cutie pie is ALL girl!

And she LOVES babies! (especially the real ones!)

And little Toddy is so Tiny, she can hold him just like a baby doll. And feed him and burp him all on her own. She is amazing with babies.

In fact, Rylee loves babies so much, when Avery asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she said:
"Marry a BEAUUUTIFUL Husband and have lots of BEAUUUTIFUL babies!!!"

ha ha ha, what a little mommy:)
