This salad may not look that special, but we were SO proud, because EVERY VEGGIE was from OUR garden! Thats right, the spinach, lettuce, carrots, beets, broccoli, snap peas, green peppers, tomatoes... yup, that's right. Some seriously sweet GARDEN GOODNESS!
Talk about a GARDEN SALAD!!!
And our favorite summer pasta:
Garden Zucchini Pasta!
It is a flippin miracle that we can grow that all right in our yard! The best part about it was that our girls actually know where produce comes from. AND they LOVE it, because they were able to plant it, watch it grow, pick it and prepare it!

that's awesome! it's good that your girls love it too! that didn't work so well with micah! he was excited to plant the veggies...but not so excited to eat them. oh well...there's always next summer to try again!
It is great. I love how kids love gardening from the very moment you begin. They're just born organic.
