The girls love riding horses... Milly see a horsey & instantly wants: "a-wide-it"!

Kid-MOVIE THEATER days~

We had such a fun experience going the first time... My girls got all their "chores" done that morning to earn a dollar for the movie; We had watched 'Annie', and sang the song "let's go to the movies" all morning! They thought it was the greatest thing when they got to use their own money to by tickets & sit in their own seats... they felt so big!

Sweet Peas

Our Little Sweet Peas!
We LOVED our garden this summer!
We are really going to miss it this winter:(

Amelia LOVES Beets

Sweet Moments

This salad may not look that special, but we were SO proud, because EVERY VEGGIE was from OUR garden! Thats right, the spinach, lettuce, carrots, beets, broccoli, snap peas, green peppers, tomatoes... yup, that's right. Some seriously sweet GARDEN GOODNESS!
Talk about a GARDEN SALAD!!!

And our favorite summer pasta:
Garden Zucchini Pasta!

It is a flippin miracle that we can grow that all right in our yard! The best part about it was that our girls actually know where produce comes from. AND they LOVE it, because they were able to plant it, watch it grow, pick it and prepare it!

Cousin Outting...

This Is The Place Monument...
August 8th
A fun little outing one day with the Ralphs cousins!

We went on a train ride, rode the pony's & even got our faces "straight razored" at the old barber shop. It was a fun experience. Neat to see how the pioneers lived!

Rylee & Amelia LOVED the pony rides! I could not believe Milly was able to do it all by herself & enjoyed it so much.

Rylee thought she'd try this out... it was pretty funny:)

RiDes:
This year was HUGE for both Rylee & Amelia...
Even though both girls' heights were a little shy of the big kid rides, for the first time:

Rylee rode: THE BAT
Amelia rode: the LADYBUG DROP!

They were both SO TINY on those BIG rides:)
Align Center
I couldn't believe how BRAVE & FUN the girls were... they never even cried! It sure made Lagoon a fun & exciting new adventure:)
We loved the other fun rides with Grandpa & cousins as well...

My girls even rode the REAL TIDAL WAVE... which I think resulted in a little too many butterflies:)

Grandpa is always fun to go with, because we get to play all the fun games & win prizes!!!

Aahhhh.... Now, wasn't THAT fun!
Thanks, Grandpa:)

Rylee or Milly???

Rylee- July 2007; Milly-July 2009...

Both pictures taken on Grandma Aftons back yard swing!

Fair Days!

We went to the County Fair with our friends in August...

Rylee's first PIE EATING CONTEST!!!
Her name was drawn out for the little kids contest...
So did Avery, Maddy & Micah. It was really funny to watch! Ry really got into it.

During:
She was hilarious... she kept trying to eat it & kept kinda gaggin on it:)

After:
She actually made a pretty good dent in the pie!

Then there was a reptile show the girls enjoyed... let's just say it was a HANDS-ON experience!

We got to see the LARGEST PIG in the world, & the smallest horse in the world... This picture does NOT do this HUGE HOG justice! This thing was like the size of a small Cow!

The girls also loved the little Piglets at the State Fair!

Then we went to the State Fair with Grandma & Grandpa Ralphs in September!
Fun Rides...

Getting a Farming Experience:
this was such a cute thing they had for the kids to do, where they started with getting grains from the silo, feeding/milking the cows, planting seeds in a "garden", picking apples, collecting eggs, stocking the grocery shelves, earning money, then buying something with it! What a great experience for kids:)

Hannah got to come with us too! We love Hannah:)

& You can't go to the Fair without a Pony Ride!
The girls LOVE riding the ponies!!!
