After the passing of Great Grandma Smith, a beautiful service was held in her honor. All the Smith family came together to celebrate the life of such an amazing woman!
After the service, my girls had the opportunity to meet the Prophet of the Lord, President Monson...
These little cousins were standing amongst a group of people wanting to meet the prophet, and a neat woman behind us urged the girls up to the front, and had them introduce themselves & shake the hand of the Prophet. He was so kind to allow us to take a moment to take this picture.What a neat experience and memory for our girls to have!
After a beautiful gravesight dedication, President Monson called any little children to come visit with him if they wanted, and Rylee Jo didn't hesitate a bit. She just walked right up to him very first to shake his hand again! The Prophet called the little children to gather round his knee, just as the Savior did.
The funeral services held were a beautiful tribute to Grandma Smith and the amazing life she led. We will miss her and her example, but her testimony of all that is good and true will live on for generations to come!

Jamie, that is so awesome. I'm jealous that they got to visit with him. what an awesome experience. Not to many people get to say that they met the prophet and got a picture. Sorry to hear about your grandma. You have an amazing family. Miss you guys.
